That sounds like a great plan, I really appreciate the help!

For right now, I will continue by converting the getToolByName calls  
for other tools, and will ignore those specific exportimport tests  
until you're done. Since there were no such problems with other layer- 
based tests it is possible your changes could solve the issue already.
