Sorry, it's been a long time since I knew how to use gdb effectively.  The
other traceback looked much more reasonable.  Note that the traceback into
Python internals didn't include any attempt to show function arguments
either -- I expect Guido is right that this means gdb had minimal info about
the Python functions to work with, then un-Pythonically <wink> made stuff up
instead of admitting it was lost.
