At least one of them is because of a rounding error.  I originally created
the tests (a year and a half ago) because lots of calculations were being
done in floating point, which led to a lot of errors.  After I was
finished, all the tests passed, but unfortunately later committers were
unaware of the tests and did not fix them as they changed the module.
(This was before you, Andreas, were here.)

I can fix the two tests if no one else is willing. ;-)
