Hmmm.. I'm surprised that Zope 2.5.1 doesn't ship with Python 2.1.3.  Python 2.1.2 has known bugs are consistent with this.  You can try to download Python 2.1.3 and change the "start.bat" script to point Zope at the new python to see if it solves the problem.

Starting Zope crashes 4 times out of 5, it hangs the system completely, or instantly reboots it.
When it got started, it works well, but developing this way is really hard :(
perhaps win 2k or nt would solve this, but i cant install them. The only solution is to find the problem.
I tried it on 2 computers (same hd, though) and it crashes on both.
Is this a Zope bug, a Python bug, or something else?
i tried to start with python -d -v ... it outputs something but can't log it due to instant reboot ;(
