[Zope-Coders] How do I run Zope3?

I just tried to checkout and build Zope3, so that I could work on the
Persistence package.  I'm absolutely mystified though ;-).  Is it
possible to run Zope3 from a clean checkout?

I tried running inst/binary_install.py, because the name was
suggestive.  But that failed immediately because it tries to import
zpasswd and zpasswd.py is nowhere to be found on the Zope3 branch.

I copied zpasswd.py from Zope2 and got bindary_install to run to
completion, but it didn't build any of the .so files.

Is there a simple recipe for checking out, building a working copy,
and running the tests?  If so, could we put it in a top-level
README.txt?
