Hm... I'm not sure if this is how to get a comment into the Collector-- 
it's not obvious from web or email interfaces. I posted originally as 
anon because I didn't notice my login not passing from zope.org to 
collector.zope.org.

There may be programming 'correctness' to producing random sort results, 
or not sorting on a default like alpha or folder-order, but it makes 
absolutely no sense to most web developers and certainly no sense to 
end-users. How do you explain to an end-user that their tree view is 
randomly different each time because that behaviour embodies some purity 
of programming?
