[Zope-Coders] Integrating Call Profiler into the Zope core

Various people would like to see the Call Profiler[1]_ product included in 
the Zope core. I see two approaches:

 1. check the Call Profiler product as-is into the Zope CVS, or
 2. integrate the code into the App directory.

The profiler runs as a Borg-alike[2]_ which is automatically added to the 
Control Panel at startup. There's no problem with running multiple profiler 
instances - but they all share the same state. So there's really not much 
point. Are there any arguments either way? I'm leaning towards approach #2 at 
the moment, and if there's no problems with that, I'll put forward a simple 
plan to this list.

The impression I get from PaulE is that we'll want to get this into the 2.6 
release. There's no branch yet though, and I can't find any immediately 
obvious information even mentioning a 2.6 release ;)
