I think I first started calling such things "Zombie object" or
zombification, but Jimmy Stewart is just such a more likeable
character (although the thought of a Jimmy Stewart zombie should
frighten everyone).
Calling such objects "uncreated" seems fine, and the most descriptive
of what actually happened to it.
