This reminds me -- wouldn't it make sense to have a Bug Day just before 
any kind of alpha or beta release such as this one?  Coordinating Bug 
Days with non-final releases would ensure that the fixed bugs are 
available to more than just CVS users, possibly provoking more feedback. 
  It would also make it less likely that such releases contain silly, 
easily-fixable bugs.
