Can you explain why they are useless ?

At first, warnings were also emitted by 2.7. But we decided to turn them 
off in order to let users use ante 2.7 code without hassle...
and to give some time to developers to convert the code.

OTOH, Jim and I decided to emit the warnings in 2.8 as we want to be 
able to turn off the old i18n:attributes syntax (space separated) in 2.9.

Anyway, I am happy you added code that allows to hide those warnings for 
people that do not want to see them.
