>From the practical point of view I don't like the fact that some issues 
were changed from wontfix to pending
just because the issue may be right and because some volunteer should fix 
an issue some time in the future.
When I mark something as wontfix then I will not come across this issue 
over and over again in the future
while walking through the collector searching for issues to be fixed. You 
start to re-read the same issues
over and over again although you might have thought the issue in the past 
and maybe added some comments
on the issue. I would like to have *something* to distinguish between real 
pending (new) issues and issues that
are unlikely to be fixed (just because there is some code that anyone won't 
touch).  Maybe we need a new state 
you_are_right_but_we_will_not_fix_this_except_you_fix_it_yourself.
