I've compilied Python 2.1.2 an Zope 2.5.0 out of the sources with GCC 3.0.1. And I've thought it works?!
But now I've download CMF an get a core dump when I add a CMF-Site-Object. 
So I've started the gdb and got the following:

Core was generated by python2.1
Program terminated with signal 10, Bus error
