Bummer, sorry. Well, that makes the ViewCVS tarballer still pretty useless. I'd suggest actually using cvs itself to check Zope out of CVS in the meantime. We'll leave this bug open and maybe it will get fixed in later revisions of ViewCVS.

sorry, but if it had been fixed, I would not have posted it!

This is the fault of the CVS tarballer, which is part of ViewCVS. cvs.zope.org was recently (about 2 weeks ago or so) upgraded to the most recent version of ViewCVS, this should have fixed the problem.

When building Zope from cvs tarball installation breaks with "/Products/PluginIndexes/TextIndex/Splitter/ISO_88591_1_Splitter/src/ISO_8859_1_Splitter.c" does not exists.
Problem is the tarball created by CVS. The file and pathname of ISO_8859_1_Splitter.c seems to long. The last two letters are cut.
Solution:
1) go to folder "/Products/PluginIndexes/TextIndex/Splitter/ISO_88591_1_Splitter/src/"
2) rename "ISO_8859_1_Splitte" to "ISO_8859_1_Splitter.c"
