Started zope as: ./start -u apache -D -C &

When I hit :8080/manage/ it asks for authentication, and this part works properly.  The frameset appears, and sometimes I see the text in them but no images, and then each window hangs and will not load.  Once this point is reached, it will not service any further requests (unless I ./stop and then restart).

It hangs when hit with IE 6, even with image loading turned off.  It does not hang for Lynx - I can navigate the site in a text-only mode with no trouble, assuming the only browser I've hit it with is lynx.

Even running with the debug flag, I cannot see any exceptions or error messages about what is going wrong.
I am not familiar with python, so I'm not sure how to debug this any further myself.

This is a fresh Zope installation with no customizations and only the auto-generated admin user on the site.
