The API split is unfortunate, but there is a lot of this kind of thing in Zope. Fortunately it's mostly documented within the Zope Book and the Developer's Guide. I am going to defer this issue, with the idea that at some point in the future we may have a "consistency-geddon" that takes into account these kinds of issues.

SecurityValidateValue in DTML is the same as getSecurityManager.ValidateValue in a Python script.
I'd normally expect to be able to use any function name available in DTML with syntax like "context.SecurityValidateValue".
This threw me for a while (I'm a newbie) and someone who was kind enough to help me suggested that it would be an appropriate issue for the Collector. I guess there
will be other newbies.
