[Zope-DB] DB connectors (newbie)

I tore my hair out over this also.  Apparently the RH distro is missing
needed header files.  

When I tried to do this (using psycopg) on libranet, everything I needed
was trivial to install.  Any Debian based distro should probably work as
well.

I have been trying for some time now to get Zope connected do Postgres
database.
Is there a preferred connector? if so what is it and where can I find
it.

I have tried to get popy and psycopg to compile on my Redhat 9, Postgres
7.4.2 and Python 2.3.3
The popy gives me the following error
