I see your point. I will write a persistent semaphore, and see what 
happens. Thank you for your help.

BTW, the locking on Win32 works well, with the pyds compiled for Python 
2.4. Before, I had the lock statement commented out to force it to work. 
Now I get to see how it really behaves.
