I'm just going to say that it also BREAKS a lot of things that people
assumed in the old Sybase adapter---all of which were bugs, but...  this is
in the CHANGES.TXT, but it's things like how numbers are returned (not
always floats any more), and the issue of truncation of trailing blanks.
