[Zope-dev] ZCatalog on object properties

Hi,

I want to add searching features to my product (ListMate - maybe you saw
it on Zope News).
I have ZClass based objects that store all data in properties. There are
no documents to index, just these objects.

As I understand it, ZCatalog only indexes _content_ automatically, but
for properties, you have to tell it explicitely which property to look
at.
Is this true so far?

Now my problem is that I do not know which properties my objects will
have, since they are created by the user via a management interface.

So how do I get the catalog to index these properties and find the stuff
that's stored in the properties?
(DTML or Python, I'll take what I can get)
