I did see many posts to the contrary...

That is definitely wrong.

I see lots of posts from ZC people in almost all Zope related
mailing lists (I read):

      zope    		zope-cmf    	zpt	zope-db

      ChrisM		Tres, Jens	Evan	Matt
      Andreas
      (Evan)
      (Brian)

Seems, ZC cares about the mailing lists.
