Latest CVS README says:
Multithreading

Multithreading issues are taken care of.
There is still a known issues concerning process termination
(non-deamonic thread hang out) that can require that the process be
interrupted or killed explicitely.
Some more work need to be done  on process termination
and cleanup conditions of the virtual machines.
