[Zope-dev] symbolic link patch

hello,

i found this "patch" for creating symbolic links within zope:

- copied the manage_pasteObjects method to a manage_pasteMonikers
    method
- commented the #ob=ob._getCopy(self)  line  (the duplicate object part)
- added a "Paste Ref" button to the lib/python/OFS/dtml/main.dtml file that
    calls the pasteMonikers method

it seems to be great for my purposes & works fine & i plan to use it on a production system.

has someone any information about problems with this kind of "patching"? something like breaking the database in long terms or even more ugly?
