[Zope-dev] SMTP socket error

Hello
 
 I am trying to send mail using python.I tried the
 command
 
 >>> import smtplib
 >>> s=smtplib.SMTP("localhost")
 
 I get the following error
 socket.error: (10053, 'Software caused connection
 abort')
 
 could someone please help..
