At this point, the SVN trunk *is* a buildout:

 $ svn co svn+ssh://svn.zope.org/repos/main/Zope/trunk Zope-trunk
 ...
 $ cd Zope-trunk
 $ /oath/to/python2.5 bootstrap.py
 ...
 $ bin/buildout
 ...
