I totally agree. In fact we even have an example of this happening. Zope
Corp., at some point, maintained an internal list of package versions (before
the KGS existed). The community largely worked with the latest released
packages. So both Benji (for ZC) and I were working on zc.testbrowser and we
were constantly fixing test breakages when the other person made a checkin,
because the different package sets produced different output. Having one
overall accepted KGS for the entire community to test with, is a great common
denominator that also makes debugging a lot easier.
