If you use cookie authentication, and set the domain for the cookie
broadly enough, it should work to just redirect from the "login success"
page on the 2.6 server. You would then add a custom challenge plugin on
the new server (likely using ScriptablePlugin and a PythonScript) which
redirected to the old server with an appropriatly encoded 'came_from'.
Note that PAS was never really tested on 2.6: it was developed during
the same time that 2.7 was released.
