Agree.  In fact there probably ought to be a maximum time (1 year?)
that can only be overriden by someone on the site team.  With some
easy way for the document owner to "renew" the document when they
get an email that it is about to expire.  If the site team gets an
email when such content *is* expired (say because the owner has
stop doing zope developement <sad smile>), that would prevent orphaned
content from staying around forever.
