[Zope] Import restrictions?

I have an external method residing in the Extensions folder that tries
to import a module outside the Zope source tree. The method imports
correctly from the python interpreter, but I get an ImportError when
calling it from Zope. Are there import restrictions imposed by Zope?
Where can I find more about this?
