<TD WIDTH="<dtml-var "image1.width">"><dtml-var image1></td>

<dtml-var xxx> calls the variable literally named xxx (when an image is
called, it returns an <IMG> tag for itself)

<dtml-var "xxx"> evaluates the Python expression "xxx"
