[Zope] How to test whether something is a string?

Thanks. That worked.

Is the colon in myselect:list part of Standard HTML,
or is it part of Zope? That is, is it really part
of the features of <SELECT MULTIPLE...>, or is the
colon merely a device for Zope so it would always
put the selected choices into a list?
