I have seen exactly the same behaviour. Even the traceback page still shows
the error. After having repaired it, selecting the product in the Control
Panel, clicking Delete, and restarting, will put thinks back to order. It
seems that the POS stores the broken product, and doesn't refresh it when
it is working again.

I wanted to dive further into it, before reporting it, but I fell ill. You
can add to your report I saw the same thing, on NT4 SP3 & SP4, with
Netscape 4.08.
