[Zope] zope on virtual www servers

hi!

i'm trying to configure apache to run zope on a virtual server. i simply
added the path of the site within the zope file tree into the rewrite
rule, so it looks like this now:

 RewriteRule ^/(.*) /[...]/cgi-bin/Zope/Customers/<sitename>/$1 [...]

when i access the site, i get that path (Customers/<sitename>) prefixed
to the url which is definitely not what i want... does anybody have a
solution for my problem?
