Hi,
Just a reminder that tonight at 7pm is the PORPIG (Portland, Oregon
Python Interest Group) meeting. I'll be speaking about Zope, so if
you're in Portland (or can get there by 7pm tonight ;-) this is your
chance to ask Zope development questions in person. Plus there are free
eats!

The next meeting is scheduled for November 1, 1999 and will feature Amos
Latteier presenting "Extending Zope in Python"
He'll cover the basic avenues for extending Zope in Python, including
external methods, zclass base classes, and Python products. The bulk
of the talk will be tutorial on building a simple Zope product in
Python.
He'll explain the basic Zope services that a Python product needs to be
aware of: object publishing, persistence, security, and the management
framework. The talk will include many examples.
