[Zope] Disabling/Post-processing Copy-Paste

I want to give a collection of objects a unique value for each, stored in a
property.  Problem is, copying and pasting a object would leave me with two
objects with the same value.

Is it possible to:
   A. Disable only Copy and not Cut?
or B. Have a object (a ZClass instance, actually) do something automatically
when it gets created by a Paste?
