[Zope] equivalent of eval in dtml ?

Simple question again =
How to set a variable 'mytime' to the current time ?

<dtml-call "REQUEST.set('mytime', 'ZopeTime fmt=%H:%M')">

sets it to the string 'ZopeTime fmt=%H:%M' 

Is there no equivalent of eval() ?
