[Zope] newbie question

Greetings,

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think I made myself very clear.  When I start the zope server as root (linux here) and run the ./start file on line 494 the problem happens.  Can't create the file! 

1.) Can I uninstall Zope so that I can try it again
2.) Does upgrading python have anything to do with it? currently I am running 1.5.2 from the python web site.

You need to set the permissions on the <zopedir>/var directory so that the
user nobody has write access to it.
