[Zope] SQL Session and acquistion dont seem to work together

with 2.1.6 looks like any method that calls <dtml-call Session>  should not be
acquired.  In spite of  cookie exisitng in REQUEST a new cookie gets set . 
 any thoughts fellow men/women ?
