[Zope] Which is faster: ZServer-1-thread, or Apache/PCGI

Which setup would yield higher performance under heavy traffic loads?

1.  Running ZServer as the primary web server, but constrained to
just a single thread.

-or-

2.  Running Zope behind Apache using PCGI.

Inquiring minds want to know.
