[Zope] FieldIndex atomicity?

If a FieldIndex is treated as atomic, it shouldn't go trough
the Splitter, right?

I found out that an hyphen in a field indexed as FieldIndex
breaks the index (this field is just not indexed, it seems). A
space works. Weird.
