I shouldn't be that hard for you to write one yourself. I once wrote a function 
in perl using it's powerful patern matching which stripped out all HTML 
tags from an input text file. As I recall it took only 4 or 5 lines of code 
(including the function header). You should be able to do something similar 
in Python.
