[Zope] Zcatalog's TextIndex Question

The Splitter removes numbers.

You can create your own kind of splitter and replace Zope's (note that
Zope's splitter is written in C, and is found in
lib/python/SearchIndex/Splitter.c) you can write yours in C or Python.
