[Zope] 'image' directory relocation

i have a server running apache, with zope running on a specified port number. when i first created the documents i wanted to run in zope, i created a directory for images and the like in the zodb. after studying the structure of my site, i've decided i'd rather have the images directory in the server's folder system as opposed to the zodb. moving the images and such is no problem, however, the linkage from the documents to the images is going to be a big one. is there a way to set up something like a symbolic link from the images directory in the zodb to the images directory in the server folder system so i don't have to go in and manually modify the path for each image?
