[Zope] ftp access not working

Aha! This exactly seems to be the problem.  I can log in fine from inside the university network (which has no firewall, incidently), but from home or any other location, it does not work.  This is strange, because authentication works fine, its on the request for a file list that it chokes.  Is there a solution to this problem??
