I've also had success with ExUserFolder, hooking zope up to the database
behind my ikonBoard (had to write my own plugin for that, but it was
relatively painless once I started).

Go with A). Use LoginManager. There are several HOWTOs on zope.org for
using it with an SQL user source. Use jok's - I found it to be more
straightforward.=20
