   What about longer virtual path?

/VirtualHostBase/http/www.foo.com/root/foo_folder/VirtualHostRoot/_vh_Zope/_vh_foo/$1

   or

/VirtualHostBase/http/www.foo.com/root/foo_folder/VirtualHostRoot/_vh_Zope/foo/$1

   ?
