[Zope] Advice on LoginManager, exUserFolder et al

Hello

I would appreciate some advice on the topic of User Folder options for Zope 
server systems.

The concurrent support for multiple authentication sources of LoginManager 
<http://www.zope.org/Members/tsarna/LoginManager> fits my problem well. But 
the latest version I can find is LoginManager 0.8.8b1(Stable) of 
2000/10/18. It isn't clear to me that this Product is either complete or 
under active development. Any comment on its status? Also any comments on 
LoginManager's dependence on ZPatterns and the status of that development?

On the other hand, getting exUserFolder 
<http://www.zope.org/Members/TheJester/exUserFolder> to work with either of 
my current user sources at a basic level has been easy. However, 
exUserFolder doesn't claim to support concurrent user sources which is what 
I need.

Should I be considering any other User Folder substitutes that offer the 
chance to have multiple authentication sources such as NIS, /etc/passwd 
type files, LDAP, ... ?
