[Zope] beginner

Hi folks,

I have just installed zope on my FreeBSD box. The problem is that it's dryving me crazy. It's very complex. Is there a source of documentation like the one we can see (for instance) for MySQL.
Zope documentation is very poor, why?

Another question that's catching my hears: Why is zope not written in C? Any kind of server tools should be coded in C, isn't it?
