Benefits:

 * Python extensible
 * flexible
 * good RDBMS integration
 * lots of tools (called products) available
 * open source
 ....


Limitations:

 * a bit slow (we do not yet know the reason, may be unrelated to Zope)
 * occasionally surprising behavior
