[Zope] zope 2.3.1b2 and ZCatalog

hello all
before bedtime, i managed to update my dev site from 2.2.5 to 2.3.1b2, to
see whether my production sites can run on 2.3.1b2.

i followed the http://www.zope.org/Members/mcdonc/HowTos/UpgradeToNewCatalog
and everything looks fine.  exceprt that there's nothing in the catalog.  is
that normal?  do i have to find items to catalog again?

i would think the conversion will keep the current catalog contents.
