There is a whole Rack of ZopeLDAP Stuff you might want to look at.
For Logging in and out there are at least three acl_user Folder=20
implementations using LDAP.
I have played around with the ZopeLDAP as well as the LDAPLoginAdapter=20
(togehter with UserLDAP) and found all three useful.
